This is a course in which students work with vector graphics, raster graphics and graphic layout programs. The course introduces how computing can be used to produce works of art and design, which can be exhibited electronically and in print. It provides the first step for students interested in using computers to develop and realize artwork.

This course may be taken by non-majors, and by Art majors as the initial course in the newMedia concentration. Non-majors who wish to have this course satisfy a general education Arts domain credit (GA) can consult with the instructor and with their academic advisor to use the Penn State Course Substitution Form ».
